143 603 Andrew Barclay/Alexander 143 Pacer

Built 1985 entering service at Heaton (HT) depot in Newcastle.
Transferred later to the Wales and West franchise before passing to GWR. Latterly operated from Exeter depot.
Withdrawn in December 2020 and passing to VoBR, '603' initially ran in preservation at the Chasewater Railway. Following maintenance by VoBR volunteers, '603' took passengers 18 times along the Sharpness branch during our 2026 Return to Sharpness event.
