D2069 BR Doncaster Class 03

Built at Doncaster in 1960 entering service at Thornaby depot (51L) on Teesside D2069 remained in the North East until withdrawal, as 03 069, from Gateshead (GD) depot.
D2069 passed to Vic Berry of Leicester where it was used rather than scrapped.
Purchased by the present owner, a VoBR trustee, for preservation in 1991 it was restored by the VoBR at Sharpness in 2019 and is currently operation at the Dean Forest Railway having also spent a spell at the Gwilli Railway.
