Operational
Built at Doncaster in 1960 entering service at Thornaby depot (51L) on Teesside D2069 remained in the North East until withdrawal, as 03 069, from Gateshead (GD) depot.
D2069 passed to Vic Berry of Leicester where it was used rather than scrapped.
Purchased by the present owner, a VoBR trustee, for preservation in 1991 it was restored to working condition by VoBR volunteers at Sharpness. By 2019 it was at the Dean Forest Railway for testing and driver training. It then had a brief spell hauling Santa Specials at the Gwilli Railway before returning for a while to the DFR. It has since been on hire to the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway.
